Let’s be clear for a minute here, the “biology” she’s talking about has nothing to do with genetics and everything to do with socialization. We are taught how to behave in crisis situations, and women are taught to be weak. Female children and babies are told every day that they are fragile, and that idea is imprinted so extremely in our culture that we cannot escape it. Advertising and mass media, gendered division of labor in the work place and in the household along with heteronormative ideas of education and romance all teach girls how to be “girly”. It isn’t biology, it’s institutionalized sexism. So of course a scientific study or survey will reveal that women react poorly in war situations. You told us to.
